June is picnic month – the evenings stretch out, the park fills up after work and lunch moves outside whenever the forecast allows. So this box was built for a blanket on the grass: crunchy corn and hummus chips for sharing, a hydration sachet and an isotonic drink for the warm days, and gummy bears, a fruit roll and a single date for the sweet course. Almost every one of the 20 snacks is plant-based, and most are gluten-free too. Here’s what was inside 🧺
Our mini snack boxes contain a selection of items from the full size box.
Savoury
Human Nature Pea Rings – Caramelised Onion (50g)
What it is: Crunchy rings made from pea flour, seasoned with caramelised onion, paprika and spices, in a 50g bag.
Why we picked it: Caramelised onion on a light pea crunch, mostly pea rather than potato, so it fills you up more than a crisp does.

Human Nature Lentil Sticks – Jalapeño & Lime (50g)
What it is: Light, crunchy sticks of 42% red lentil flour and maize flour, seasoned with jalapeño, garlic and a sharp lime finish, in a 50g bag.
Why we picked it: Warm rather than hot, with the lime doing most of the work, which is about right for eating outdoors in June.
Dietary: Vegan. May contain gluten, milk and sulphur dioxide.
Love Corn Crunchy Corn – Sweet & Salty (45g)
What it is: Whole corn kernels roasted until crunchy, coated in honey and sea salt with a little sugar and sunflower oil, in a 45g bag.

Dietary: Vegetarian (contains honey), gluten-free.
The Curators Protein Tortilla Chips – BBQ (35g)
What it is: Tortilla-style chips made mostly from lentil flour and soy protein, with a smoky barbecue seasoning of paprika, onion and tomato, in a 35g bag.

Dietary: Vegan, gluten-free. Contains soya.
Total XP Protein Crunch – Epic Cheese (28g)
What it is: A crunchy, low-carb protein snack made with milk protein and a cheese seasoning, with 13g of protein in a 28g pack.
Why we picked it: Nearly half the pack is protein, it’s palm-oil free, and cheese is a friendlier way in than the chilli one from April.
Dietary: Vegetarian (contains milk), gluten-free.
Simply Roasted Low Fat Crisps – Sea Salt (21.5g)
What it is: Thick-cut potato slices roasted under high heat instead of fried, with sea salt and sunflower oil, in a 21.5g bag.

What it is: Chickpea-flour chips with a sweet caramelised onion and balsamic vinegar seasoning, made with rice and maize flour, in a 45g grab bag.

Junk Food Organic Beetroot Crisps – Lightly Salted (30g)
What it is: Slices of organic beetroot, vacuum-fried in sunflower oil with a little salt, made from wonky and surplus veg, in a 30g bag.

What it is: Two crispy wheat wafers filled with a 21% hazelnut cream and covered in vegan white chocolate made with rice drink powder, in a 45g pack.

Dietary: Vegan. Contains peanuts and tree nuts; may contain gluten.
Savvy Sweets Gummy Bears – Fruits Cream (50g)
What it is: Pectin-based gummy bears in fruit and cream flavours, built on soluble corn fibre and sweetened with erythritol and stevia, in a 50g bag.

What it is: A dense 75g oat flapjack with milk protein and gelatine, cocoa, white chocolate chips and toasted oats, sweetened with sucralose and stevia.
