August is holiday month – suitcases in the hall, half the office away and the other half pretending to be. So this box was built for travelling: big sharing bags for the beach or the campsite, small bars and pots that survive a rucksack, and two cold drinks for the journey. Most of the 20 snacks are plant-based, and plenty are gluten-free too. Here’s what was inside ☀️
Our mini snack boxes contain a selection of items from the full size box.
Savoury
Gourmet Crunch Crisps – Irish Salt & Balsamic Vinegar (18g)
What it is: Popped cassava crisps with Irish sea salt and a sharp balsamic vinegar flavour, made from just four ingredients.
Why we picked it: Under 100 calories a bag, popped rather than fried, and the vinegar tang is strong enough to notice.
Dietary: Vegan, gluten-free.
Eat Real Sharing Lentil Chips – Greek Cheese Tomato & Herb (95g) ★ sharing bag
What it is: A big bag of light lentil flour chips with a Mediterranean tomato, basil and parsley seasoning and a cheese flavour that contains no dairy.
Why we picked it: Greek-cheese flavour with no cheese in it, so the whole caravan can share the bag whatever they eat.
Dietary: Vegan, gluten-free.
Junk Food Organic Sweet Potato Crisps – Lightly Salted (30g)
What it is: Organic sweet potato crisps made from wonky and surplus veg, vacuum-fried and lightly salted, with sunflower oil and salt the only other ingredients.
Why we picked it: They rescue vegetables that would otherwise be binned, and three ingredients is about as short as a crisp label gets.
Dietary: Vegan, gluten-free.
Simply Roasted Low Fat Crisps – Sour Cream Chive (21.5g)
What it is: Roasted, not fried, potato crisps with a creamy, tangy sour cream and chive seasoning made with a dairy-free creamer.
Why we picked it: Half the fat of a fried crisp, and it turns out you don’t need any cream to make sour cream and chive.
Dietary: Vegan, gluten-free.
Boundless Nuts & Seeds Boost – Salt & Chilli Pepper (25g)
What it is: A 25g pouch of activated almonds, cashews, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, tossed in tamari, cider vinegar and Aleppo chilli flakes.
Why we picked it: 5g of plant protein in a pocket-sized pack, and the Aleppo chilli stops it being boring.
Dietary: Vegan, gluten-free. Contains tree nuts, soya and sesame.
Human Nature Pea Rings – Smoky BBQ (50g)
What it is: Light, crunchy rings made mostly from pea flour, seasoned with chipotle, paprika, tomato and a smoky barbecue flavour.
Why we picked it: Peas make a surprisingly good crisp – lighter than potato, and the chipotle smoke carries it.
Dietary: Vegan, no gluten-containing ingredients. May contain gluten, milk and sulphur dioxide.
Long Chips – Thai Sweet Chilli (75g) ★ sharing bag
What it is: Extra-long baked potato chips made from potato flakes and wheat semolina, seasoned with a Thai sweet chilli, onion and ginger blend.
Why we picked it: Lower in fat than fried crisps and long enough to be a talking point at the picnic table.
Dietary: Vegetarian (contains wheat gluten). May contain milk and mustard.
Manomasa Tortilla Chips – Serrano Chilli & Yucatan Honey (40g)
What it is: Thick white corn tortilla chips with green lentils in the dough, seasoned with jalapeño, chilli, cumin, star anise and Yucatan honey.

Mr Filbert’s Rice Crackers – Korean Sweet Chilli (40g)
What it is: Crisp rice crackers seasoned with soy sauce, garlic, capsicum and a little liquorice powder for a sweet, gently hot finish.

Well & Truly Baked Corn Crunchies – Spicey & Nicey (30g)
What it is: Baked corn sticks with a fiery blend of vinegar powder, tomato, onion, garlic, paprika and spices.
Why we picked it: Hotter than the paprika ones we sent in July, still baked not fried, and a good foil for a cold drink.
Dietary: Vegan, gluten-free. May contain peanuts, soya and milk.
Proper Sharing Popcorn – Sweet & Salty (90g) ★ sharing bag
What it is: A 90g sharing bag of air-popped popcorn with brown cane sugar and sea salt, made from four ingredients.
Why we picked it: Air-popped keeps the calories down, and a sweet and salty bag settles the argument between the two camps on film night.
Dietary: Vegan, gluten-free.
Sweet
Yup! Oats Oats With Granola – Berries & White Chocolate (65g) ★ sharing bag
What it is: A pot of wholegrain oat flakes with freeze-dried berries and white chocolate chunks, topped with a crunchy berry crumble granola.
Why we picked it: Hotel breakfasts are a lottery, so we packed one you can make in a kettle-and-mug situation anywhere.
Dietary: Vegetarian (contains milk, honey, soya and oat gluten). Contains tree nuts; may contain peanuts.
Giant Bar Topped Flapjack – Banana & Yoghurt (100g) ★ sharing bag
What it is: A 100g oat flapjack with banana pieces, bound with golden syrup and finished with a thick yogurt-flavoured topping.
Why we picked it: It is enormous, it fills a gap on a long drive, and half of it keeps for tomorrow if you have any willpower.
Dietary: Vegetarian (contains milk, soya and oat gluten). May contain peanuts and tree nuts.
Mallow & Marsh Ultimate S’more – Toasted Vanilla (42g)
What it is: A soft toasted vanilla marshmallow, made with beef gelatine, on a wheat biscuit base, all coated in Belgian milk chocolate.
Why we picked it: August means campfires, and this is the s’more without the burnt fingers – whisked in Yorkshire, no fire required.
Dietary: Not vegetarian (contains beef gelatine, milk, eggs, soya and wheat gluten). May contain peanuts.
Nick’s Vegan Bar – Almond Crunch (40g)
What it is: A chewy bar of crispy almonds and soy crisps bound with chicory root fibre, coated in chocolate sweetened with erythritol and xylitol.
Why we picked it: No added sugar and high in fibre, which makes it the one chocolate bar in the box that a low-carb eater can have.
Dietary: Vegan, gluten-free, no added sugar. Contains almonds and soya; may contain peanuts and other tree nuts.
Milliways Plastic Free Chewing Gum – Mighty Mint (10 pieces)
What it is: A pack of ten strong mint chewing gum pieces made with natural chicle gum base, xylitol and stevia, with no plastic in the gum.
Why we picked it: Most gum is plastic, this isn’t, and a strong mint is useful after a service station lunch.
Dietary: Vegan, gluten-free.
Jealous Sweets Shot Bag – Tangy Worms (24g)
What it is: Tangy fruit-flavoured worm sweets set with carrageenan rather than gelatine, coloured with apple, carrot, blackcurrant and spirulina.

Dietary: Vegan, gluten-free. May contain peanuts, tree nuts, sesame and sulphur dioxide.
Oatopia Oat Bake – Dark Chocolate & Raspberry (60g) ★ sharing bag
What it is: A soft-baked oat slice with Belgian dark chocolate and a ribbon of raspberry, made with a plant-based spread instead of butter.

Dietary: Vegan, gluten-free.
Yew Sparkling Water – Yuzu Grapefruit (330ml)
What it is: Sparkling water with natural grapefruit and yuzu flavourings and a touch of citric acid, and nothing else in the can.
Why we picked it: Zero sugar, zero sweeteners, just fizz and citrus – the drink for a hot platform when plain water feels dull.
Dietary: Vegan, no gluten-containing ingredients.
Nut note: Three items contain nuts: the Nick’s Almond Crunch bar, the Boundless Nuts & Seeds Boost and the Yup Oats Berries & White Chocolate pot. Several others carry a “may contain nuts” warning, including the Oatopia oat bake, the Giant Bar flapjack, the Mallow & Marsh S’more, Jealous Tangy Worms, Mr Filbert’s rice crackers and the Well & Truly crunchies. If you need a nut-free box, just reply to your order email and we’ll build one for you.
